I have been obsessed with finding new drinks I can add to my favorite vodka, especially when creating fun drinks for my guests whenever hubby and I throw parties at the house.
This recipe was inspired by the wonderful Mandy Kellogg Rye.
I love this recipe because it's the perfect balance between "the familiar" and "the fancy" and the prep time is quick... just my style and just the way (speed) I like it!
BLUEBERRY MINT FIZZ:
• 1 1/2 OZ. OF:
TITOS VODKA (90 calories)
OR KETTLE ONE VODKA (104 calories)
OR STOLICHNAYA BLUEBERRY VODKA (104 calories)
OR SMIRNOFF BLUEBERRY VODKA (104 calories)
• 2 1/2 OZ. CLUB SODA - 0 calories
• 5-8 MINT LEAVES - 0 calories
• 5-6 BLUEBERRIES - 10 calories
• OPTIONAL: WE HAVE A YUMMY RECIPE FOR OUR COOL FRUITY ICE CUBES. IF YOU DON'T PLAN ON USING THEM, THEN TO ADD SWEETNESS WE SUGGEST YOU USE 1 OZ. OF ST. GERMAINE LIQUOR - 80 calories - OR AGAVE SYRUP - 1 tsp of AGAVE is 21 calories.
PLACE MINT LEAVES IN A COCKTAIL OF SHAKER AND MUDDLE.
ADD REGULAR PLAIN ICE, VODKA, AND CLUB SODA. SHAKE IT WELL!
POUR OVER FANCY FRUIT ICE AND ENJOY.
IF YOU ARE NOT USING THE FANCY FRUIT ICE THEN YOU MAY WANT TO ADD AGAVE OR ST. GERMAIN LIQUOR TO ADD A TOUCH OF SWEETNESS. ALSO FOR A MORE INTENSE BLUEBERRY FLAVOR ADD 5 OR SO FRESH BLUEBERRIES TO THE BOTTOM OF YOUR SHAKER ALONG WITH THE MINT AND MUDDLE.**

MAKE YOUR OWN GRAPE JUICE! WE DO NOT RECOMMEND STORE BOUGH GRAPE JUICE. SO EITHER THROW 1 CUP OF GRAPES IN A BLENDER OR SMASH THEM IN A CUP AS BEST YOU CAN.
SPREAD GRAPE JUICE ON ICE CUBES EVENLY. IF YOU ARE USING A SMALL ICE TRAY OF 4 ICE CUBES YOU CAN GET AWAY USING 1 CUP OF GRAPES IN STEP 1. IF YOUR TRAY IS LARGER THAN THAT, GO AHEAD AND USE 2 CUPS OF GRAPES ON STEP 1.
AFTER POURING GRAPE JUICE, POUR WATER INTO MOLDS, FILLING THEM ALMOST ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP.
PLACE BLUEBERRY AND MINT LEAVES INTO ICE CUBE MOLDS. 2-3 BLUEBERRIES AND MINT LEAVES PER CUBE.
FREEZE AT LEAST 2 HOURS, PREFERABLY OVERNIGHT.
