Puberty came for me late, 26 years old to be exact… I mean, not really… I became a young lady at 12, but the acne took another 14 years to finally show up.
Frustrating, to say the least.
But I have experimented with a lot of things to address and resolve my acne problems. In this blog series, I reveal to you the FIVE things that work for me. These are not in any particular order of importance. They have all been important to the health of my skin. As soon as I stop doing any one of them, I IMMEDIATELY SEE IT ON MY FACE.

MY 5 “CLEAR, HEALTHY, GLOWING SKIN” HELPERS:
#1 CELERY JUICE
I would be SHOCKED if you never heard “celery juice” and “good for you” in the same sentence before.
But YOU might be shocked to find out no studies have been done to reveal the true healing properties of celery juice.
This is one of the reasons why naysayers “hate on” celery juice.
But… IS LACK OF STUDIES EQUAL TO LACK OF PROOF?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
Millions of people have EXPERIENCED the benefits of celery juice in their lives. From chronic diseases to other health conditions, people have personally felt the difference in their health once they introduced the simple behavior of consuming celery juice daily. You can try to disprove many things, but you can’t disprove someone’s experience. If I tell you my story of growing up in Brasil, you don’t have any room to say “Wrong! That is NOT how you grew up!” Are you chuckling? I hope so, because that’s how ridiculous this is.
Another reason why I think people “hate on” celery juice is because IT SOUNDS TOO SIMPLE AND TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.
Not many things in this life are simple AND good, so my response to that is “ENJOY IT, CUPCAKE! GET IT ALL WHILE YOU CAN!”
Celeries are not expensive, meds are. Thank you, God, for celeries.

Quality, timing, and quantity are important, though, in order to make sure you are enjoying the most benefits from your life-changing green friend.
Quality:
if you can, buy ORGANIC. Also, make your juice PURELY celery. Don’t mix anything else on there. In this case, alone is better.





Timing:
First thing in the morning, on an empty stomach. Your celery juice should be the very first you consume in the morning. We also suggest you wait 30 minutes after finishing your celery juice before drinking or eating anything else. This helps with absorption timing.





Quantity:
16 oz! If you have a juicer, that’s an easy task. If you have a blender, it will take a bit more work since you have to use a net to strain the juice out. BUT EITHER WAY, IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT!
Anthony Williams, the founder of Medical Medium, makes big claims on what celery can do for the body.
MANY BELIEVE HIM, MANY CRITICIZE HIM. BUT WE CAN ALL AGREE ON TWO THINGS:
1-) CELERY JUICE IS NOT BAD FOR YOU.
2-) PEOPLE HAVE EXPERIENCED POSITIVE CHANGES IN THEIR HEALTH ONCE THEY INTRODUCED CELERY JUICE INTO THEIR DAILY ROUTINE.





TRY IT BEFORE YOU DENY IT.
Let’s quickly look at some health benefits related to celery juice consumption:
1. Reduce the Symptoms of Asthma, Arthritis and Depression
Celery has anti-inflammatory properties which helps with conditions like asthma (even IBS), arthritis, and depression.
2. Reduce Blood Pressure
If you drink celery juice, you’ll benefit from its antioxidant properties and get a lower blood pressure read than before!
3. Ease Digestion
If you suffer from bloating or constipation you need some celery in your life!
Celery juice helps your stomach produce acid, which is vital to effective digestion and gut health, and helps reduce acid reflux.
Celery is also packed with flavonoids, which helps move food through your stomach.
Flavonoids means healthy digestion.
4. Could Help Prevent Cancer
Apigenin, a specific type of flavonoid found in celery, can help prevent cancer, specifically breast, digestive tract, skin, and prostate. The antioxidant properties of celery juice protect your cells and stop them from getting damaged or mutating (the process that can lead to cancer cells forming).

Celery is a great source of Vitamin K. Vitamin K and D work together to help calcium absorption in your body. Absorbing calcium effectively means stronger bones!

I start my day with my 16 oz of celery juice and I immediately go workout. Sometimes I do cardio, other times I do weight lifting, sometimes I’m doing a program like 3XT CAKE, other times I pull out the leashes and take my dogs on a run.
Whatever it may be, sweat daily! Your pores LOVE IT! (No makeup while you workout, of course).
